Mayne Football Club

Mayne AFC

Welcome to the Mayne Australian Football Club.  Mayne is one of the oldest and proudest clubs in Queensland, a club that first took the field in 1924.

The club has been one of the most successful clubs in Queensland with now eighteen senior premierships to its credit following the success of 2014, 2015 and 2016.  Numerous players have represented the club that have come from VFL backgrounds or launched a VFL or AFL career from its ranks.

Our Club

The club is co-located with the Everton Junior Australian Football Club and acknowledges the support and benefits achievable by way of this relationship.  The Mayne Junior Australian Football Club is located at York Street, Nundah.  A good working relationship exists with both clubs and a solid pathway of young players has been achieved in recent years.

The club is a community club and is administered by a voluntary committee.  The club has only one major objective and that is “to be a strong football club playing competitively at the highest level fostering the Mayne tradition”.

The committee is therefore set up to provide services appropriate to meeting that objective.  In keeping with the AFL Queensland objective to meet specific management standards, the club committee has applied roles to committee members as portfolio managers in the areas of Administration and Governance, Finance, Performance, Facilities and Infrastructure, Strategic Planning as well as Brand and Culture.
