The Graham Walters Award for Best and Fairest in the Reserve Grade was presented to Danny Evans last Friday night at the Annual Presentation Night at Tattersalls Club. In a remarkable effort it was the sixth occasion that Danny has won this award making him the absolute standout as the best reserve grade footballer for the club of all time.
Danny also took out the Peter Ives Player’s Player award for the fourth time adding to his extraordinary contribution to the club.
Danny has played 129 games for the Reserves and 54 for the seniors since his debut in the senior club in 2010 after graduating through the Colts programme and the Mayne Juniors.
He is also a four times Premiership Player for the Reserve Grade in just reward for his outstanding service, consistency and contribution to the Mayne Tigers.
All of these awards were achieved in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history with the Reserve Grade making the finals in each of the last nine years including five premierships from seven Grand Finals.
