Mayne AFC

Merry Christmas from Tigerland

The Mayne Football Club extends its’ heartfelt best wishes to all of its’ Members, Players, Sponsors and Supporters for a Safe and Happy Christmas period and a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2024.

2023 has been another wonderful year for the club with more silverware added to the Trophy cabinet thanks to the all conquering Reserve Grade and tremendous efforts from all the playing group and the legion of Tigers Volunteers.

2024 will be one of the biggest years for the club as we celebrate one hundred years since the Tigers were formed.

The Committee, Coaches and Players are already hard at work in preparation for this significant milestone with training in full swing and numerous other behind the scenes activities being worked on to make sure it is one to remember.

The club is pleased to be welcoming some new recruits to the Den for 2024 with details in this edition of the Tiger Rag. Importantly the club is also very pleased to report that re-signings have been underway with the many leaders of the club excited for the 2024 Centenary Season.

The upgrades at the Den are also coming along according to schedule with the Ovals looking as good as could have been hoped and the building of the new Timekeepers and Medical Room under construction.

While the Ovals have been out of bounds since September, the club wishes to once again thank the Mayne Juniors and Toombul Cricket for their support in making their ovals available for Monday night training. It is also a big thanks to the Aspley Football Club for their permission to train at Graham Road for the last four weeks. The Tigers will complete their pre-Christmas training next week with a final session on Wednesday night at Aspley Football Club’s Brendale grounds.

Training is expected to recommence at the Mott Street Den as scheduled on the 9th January 2024 with all teams in attendance.

Check out this month's Tiger Rag for all the latest stories from Tigerland.
