Daniel Schmidt – it’s been worth the wait
It has been a long time coming but Club Captain Daniel Schmidt will play his 100th senior game for the Tigers this Saturday in the 2026 Qualifying Final at the Den against the UQ Red Lions. Schmidty as he is most affectionately referred made his senior debut back in 2017 playing eleven senior games and eight reserve grade games after graduating from the Mayne Colts programme. Zac McLean - Ageing like a fine wine
Former proud Everton Wolves Junior, Zac McLean will play his 200th senior game for the Mayne Tigers this Saturday at the Den in the qualifying semi final against the UQ Red Lions. There has already been plenty written about Zac “Magic” McLean as you might imagine over this incredible journey to this considerable milestone. Jack Coghlan - Looks small, plays big
One of the Tigers most talented young men in Jack Coghlan will play his 100th senior game for the club this Saturday. Cogsy as he is affectionately known came to the Tigers for the beginning of the 2016 season fresh off the family farm in Victoria to move in with family friends, Danny and Kim Craven, and to make his way in the world. Jack Collings - Double Century and Counting
Jack Collings will run out this Saturday for his 200th senior appearance for the Tigers as just the eleventh player to achieve this milestone in over one hundred years. A lot has been written about Jack over the years on his way to this incredible number with each of the previous milestones being bookmarked with adversity and triumph.
