Tigers reek revenge on Panthers
The Tigers travelled to Caloundra to take on the Panthers for their third encounter this season and the second time in a few weeks at Carter Park. The last time the two sides met the Panthers lowered the Tigers colours in a significant way and but for some wayward kicking it could have been much worse. Needless to say the Tigers were keen for the rematch and they had made plenty of preparation for the game. The Panthers were without a few of their regulars including Brad Kimb

Tigers lead all the way against Blues
The Tigers hosted the Hinterland Blues for their last home game of the fixtures yesterday at the Den in a triple header day against the Blues. The Tigers belted Hinterland earlier in the season when they were very undermanned but after the Blues knocked off the UQ Red Lions last week at University this match stepped up significantly in importance. The Blues had regrouped over recent weeks to record some very good wins and some close losses to have the competition on their gua

Casey Barber – 100 games and one for the record books
Casey Barber will run out for his 100th senior appearance for the Tigers this Saturday to record a history making game as the first player to follow in his forebear’s footsteps in over 100 years of the club’s existence. Casey is part of Mayne Tigers royalty with his grandfather Donald playing 221 games through the 1950’s and 1960’s including several premierships in that period. His father Gordon also played for the Tigers along with his grandfather’s brothers Rod and Neville.

Murray Laing will run out this Friday night in his 100th game for the Thirds in an extraordinary effort for the Mayne Football Club. Murray has coached the Mayne Third Grade since the team’s inception in 2015 for every year barring one and played every year as well. This is a club record for a senior coach at the Tigers. It has never been an easy gig with the nature of Friday night footy carrying with it a range of complexities. The team might have a crazy number of registere

Tigers dig deep to down Pumas at Lowe Oval
It was another battle with the Springwood Pumas which loomed large for the Tigers yesterday at Lowe Oval as the QFA Division 1 Competition nears completion for 2026. There was much at stake with the Tigers desperate to hold on to top spot, the UQ Red Lions pressing to take it away and the hoodoo of Lowe Oval ever present. The Pumas play at another level at their home ground and the Tigers have rarely enjoyed success there and with a number of their stars absent again with inj

Vale Hans Heystraten
The Mayne Football Club would like to acknowledge the passing of one of their much loved Hall of Fame Members in Hans Heystraten who sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago after a brief battle with cancer. He was just 72 years old. It was a very unexpected and late diagnosis with no prospect of treatment. Hans and his wife Jan had only recently enjoyed a trip to Fiji with some of their friends from the Mayne Golf Club, so it has been a very quick but nevertheless sad period

Tigers roar back on to winners list

It has been a while since they experienced a win and what better game than for Zach Quin’s 100th senior appearance for the club. It has been a while coming with Quinny taking a mid season br

Panthers win battle of the big cats
The Tigers travelled to Caloundra yesterday to take on the Panthers in a game that shaped as another blockbuster after the Red Lions inflicted the first loss of the season for the Tigers. It was also not ideal circumstances with the Tigers having to make a further six changes to their team from last week with some critical players needing to rest their developing soreness as the middle of the season takes it’s toll. It was however a big boost to have Zac Quin return to the si
