John passed away yesterday in palliative care in Hobart after a lengthy illness. Evergreen Mayne Tiger Corey Massingham racks up another big milestone this Saturday when he runs out for the Reserves in his 100th game. A Mayne Tigers Life Member and Hall of Famer, Corey has achieved a remarkable catalogue of accolades for the club since he first donned the black and gold way back in 2005 as a raw but very talented sixteen year old. The Hawks went down to the Tigers last year and were desperate to gain the honours this year on this important day on the calendar. The Tigers travelled to Kianawah Road for the first time in a few years to take on the Wynnum Vikings at home in their final practice match for 2026. The Vikings had played one season in Division 1 in 2022 before returning to Division 2 the following year and they are doing their best to rebuild to be a force in that grade.
